Rating Scale

When we review games we rate them on a scale of 1-10. Each rating we give reflects how good/bad the game is. To give you a better idea of how are rating system works, here is a guide to help you out.

10.0 - Perfection:

This is why we own a console, to play games like these. The game is not only flawless, but is also one of the best games of their generation. These types of games are ones to be remembered, and will surely be setting an example for the future generations of gaming.

9.0 - 9.9 - Outstanding:

An outstanding game is almost as good as they get. There might be a small problem or two, but the game is so good that the pure excellence of it outshines all the negatives. These games may not be 100% perfect, but they are almost there.

8.0 - 8.9 – Great:

A game that falls under this rating has greatness written all over it. It may not be the very best game of the year, but it is definitely a top quality game. While issues may be present, it will still be a game that you will want in your collection.

7.0 - 7.9 – Good:

While not excellent, this game is not exactly bad either. Sure, you may come across the odd bug or glitch, and the game might prove to be a bit boring or repetitive, but the overall experience and formula built in makes it worthy of a purchase if you are interested.

6.0 - 6.9 – Okay:

Games like these have some really good ideas, but there is nothing that makes you want to buy it for full retail price. Okay games normally do not have very much replay value and they tend to get put aside quickly because of the lack of engagement. Unless you are really looking forward to purchasing this game, you may want to wait for a price drop.

5.0 - 5.9 – Mediocre:

This game just simply was not ready yet. whether it be the story, amount of bugs or how rushed the game feels, it just does not shine. Playing a half finished game is not pleasurable and we would not recommend a game like this to very many people.

4.0 - 4.9 – Bad:

One good thing just leads to tons of bad things. When there may be something worthy of credit; it is just not worth pointing it out due how terrible of an experience you will have. Games like this make you wonder what the developers were thinking when they released the game.

3.0 - 3.9 – Awful:

Honestly, games that fall under this category should not be bought by anyone. I am pretty sure a group of monkeys could develop a better game.

2.0 - 2.9 – Abysmal:

The game is so terrible to the eyes, ears and the brain that you just have to stop and wonder – Why? A review that falls under this rating needs to be read by the developers themselves so they know what not to do in their next title.

1.0 - 1.9 – Failure:

Nothing works, the game is poorly constructed and there just is not anything worth playing here. A review for a game that falls under this category will probably begin to sound more like a funeral than an actual review.
