iOS 7 has just been released for the iPhone and iPad, so what does this new update entail?…
This brand new software update brings you a handful of brand new features and some great changes. I’m not going to go into great detail about all of the new features, but I am going to give you an overview and tell you a little about some of the features included in this update.
Siri Grew some…
Well! I think we all know where that was headed. That’s right, you now have the option to give Siri a male voice. There are also a couple other voice options to mess around with.
Siri has also grown a bit smarter. You can now control settings like Wi-fi, screen brightness, and Bluetooth through Siri.
Manual Updates? Ain’t nobody got time for dat!
Manual app updates will be a thing of the past for iOS users. The app store now automatically searches and performs updates in the background. You have the ability to either enable or disable this feature depending on your preferences.
So how’s the weather?
The weather is good, and so is the new weather app. The newly updated weather app includes animated backgrounds to show you the weather conditions. So now when you check the weather you can see beautiful clouds gracefully coast across your screen, or maybe even see electrifying lightning bolts depending on the conditions.
Step aside Pandora
iTunes Radio is a newly added service that will definitely get your attention if you love to stream music. Hear a song you like? Well all of the songs you hear can conveniently be bought through the iTunes store.
Your photo section and camera both have some changes in iOS 7.
The camera now has several filters to choose from at the touch of your fingers that happen to very similar to Instagram. There are also several other features that will be easier to access due to the new design.
Your photo section also has been re-designed. Your photos will now be organized into 3 sections: Photos, Shared, and Albums. I’m not going to spoil too much because the photo section really did add some unique features, but you won’t be disappointed.
Txt u l8r bro
The messaging app has been slightly redone to give users more convenience. Design wise, not a lot has changed. The messages sent back and forth do have a new look to them though.
One of the more convenient features is the “contact” button at the top right of the messaging screen. This will give you quick access to either FaceTime or Call the person you are messaging.
Group messaging has also been given some slight improvements along with timestamps.
Of course along with all these great features, you will notice that the user interface has received a complete makeover. It will probably take you a bit to get used to, but you will adapt to it. So what is your favorite feature about iOS 7? Any of you getting the iPhone 5?
