Sources that are tight with SEGA have stated that there will be an announcement for a brand new game to the Sonic the Hedgehog series sometime next month…

Many of you Sonic fans out there know that February 2nd is what SEGA likes to call ‘Hedgehog Day.’ This is a popular day for SEGA to tease Sonic fans with a brand new game. So maybe we will be hearing a better confirmation about the title then.

Apparently this unannounced title will be making it’s way to the Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, PS Vita, and the PC.  It has been stated that the PC and PS Vita versions will be nearly the same game besides a few graphical differences. It has also been said that the 3DS version will be a Sonic Rush styled game.

This source has said that a release date could be anywhere from the Fall to Winter of this year. None of this has been confirmed though, so it is still considered a rumor. Maybe we will here some more news or teasers about this game on February 2nd!
